DENTON, Texas-The Centenary softball team was held to just two hits as Nebraska took a 10-2 win over the Ladies in five innings in the third game of the Sleep Inn Classic hosted by North Texas on Saturday.

The Ladies (0-3) fell down 3-0 through the first three frames, but managed to claw their way back with two runs in the top of the third to make it a 3-2 game.

Centenary junior Ashley Boccaccio led off the inning with a walk and was moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by sophomore Bailey Boggs. Senior Bonnie Matak was struck by a pitch and freshman Nicole Warren extended her hit streak with a bunt single to load the bases for junior Kalyn Harris's RBI fielder's choice. Matak would later score on a wild pitch for Centenary's only two runs of the game.

Harris led the way with a 1-for-3 effort and an RBI, while Warren was 1-for-2.

Senior Lauren Highsmith (0-3) (4.2,13,10,10,4,2) started her third consecutive game, but would fall to 0-3 on the season. The right-hander allowed 10 runs on 13 hits in 4.2 innings of work, while fanning two.

Centenary will wrap up the Sleep Inn Classic on Sunday as it faces tournament-host North Texas at 3 pm.
