PREVIEW: Gymnastics Travels to TWU for Tri-Meet

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary gymnastics team will return to competition on Saturday when it travels to Denton, Texas to take on host-TWU and Illinois State at 7 pm.

The Ladies (2-8) are coming off a lengthy break as their last meet was back on Feb. 5 at TWU when they recorded their season-best team score in a 190.625 effort.

Centenary has recorded two victories this season over Hamline and Winona State back on Jan. 29 in TWU's Quad Meet to place second.

Leading the way this season on Vault for the Ladies is sophomore Amanda Holt with an average score of 9.66, while senior Makensie Lant's 9.70 on Bars leads Centenary. Senior Maille Vetros leads on Beam with a 9.26 and senior Marisa Schneider leads on Floor with a 9.57 and as an All-Arounder with a 38.600 average.

Following the meet on Saturday, Centenary will continue its road tour in Columbia, Missouri, taking on Big 12 Missouri and Temple at 6:30 pm on Friday, March 4.
