SHREVEPORT-Head golf coach Emlyn Aubrey recently announced the Centenary fall golf schedule, highlighted by seven tournaments between both the Ladies and Gents programs.

"Both teams have a mix of Division I, II, and III tournaments so it's always fun to compare competition in each division and where we stack up," said Aubrey, who will begin his third year.

The Gents will open play on Sept. 16-17 at the Delta State Invitational, in Cleveland, Miss. They will then host LSU in a dual match on Sunday, Sept. 25 at Southern Trace CC in Shreveport.

In October, Centenary will travel to Tyler, Texas to take part in UT-Tyler's Invitational on Oct. 3-4 and wrap up the fall season on Oct. 10-11 in Huntsville, Texas at Sam Houston State's Invitational.

"I'm very excited to get the opportunity to play LSU in a dual match here in town at Southern Trace," said Aubrey, an All-American golfer at LSU. "Not only because it is my alma mater but also they have been a Top 25 program for three or four years now and it will give my team of freshmen great experience in moving forward in their golf careers here."

The Ladies will begin play this fall on Sept. 26-27 at the Fred Marx Challenge, hosted by UL-Monroe. They will then join the Gents in Tyler, Texas at UT-Tyler's Invitational on Oct. 3-4. The fall will wrap up for the Ladies on Oct. 10-11 at Sam Houston's Invitational in Huntsville, Texas.

"All of the golf courses we play are excellent as that is a major factor in trying to schedule tournaments for us," said Aubrey.

The 2012 spring schedule will be announced at a later date, but will feature Centenary's Hal Sutton Intercollegiate in late March.
