Preview: Volleyball Continues ASC Play at ETBU, Tuesday

SHREVEPORT-After picking up a non-conference win over UNO on Saturday, the Centenary volleyball team will return to ASC play on Tuesday when it travels to ETBU for a 7 pm contest in Marshall, Texas.

The Ladies are currently 5-2 on the year and 1-1 in ASC action with a win over LeTourneau.

Centenary is led offensively by junior middle blocker Shelby Singleton with 105 kills for a .571 hitting percentage. She also paces the team with 28 total blocks. Freshman Brooke Bahlinger follows with 60 kills, while senior Jaclyn Lopez adds 51 to the mix.

Senior setter Caitlin Neese leads the squad with 209 assists, while sophomore Bethany Nuttall has tallied 39. Junior libero Jesi Wilcox has made 63 digs, while Lopez and senior Taylor Gilmour are close behind with 60 and 58, respectively.

ETBU enters Tuesday's contest with a 2-8 overall record and a 0-3 mark in conference play. The Tigers are coming off of back-to-back 3-1 losses to UT-Tyler and UT-Dallas on the road.

Kerri Kalina leads ETBU's offense with 97 kills and 38 blocks. Kayla Taylor paces the team with 179 assists and Nicole Vanderlaan patrols the defense with 163 digs.

Tuesday's contest will be the first time Centenary and ETBU have met in school history.

Centenary will return to ASC play on Friday when it hosts UT-Dallas at 7 pm, followed by UT-Tyler on Saturday at 2 pm in the Gold Dome.
