SHREVEPORT-Junior Holden Penney's golden goal in overtime propelled the Centenary women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over ETBU on Saturday evening in ASC play.

The Ladies gave the Tigers their first loss of the season and improved to 7-4 overall and 5-1 in conference action.

Penney's goal sank the back of the net at the 94-minute mark in overtime for her team-leading sixth goal of the season.

Junior Traci Lee got the Ladies on board with an early goal, her third of the season, at the 5-minute mark on an assist by Penney.

Centenary maintained a 1-0 advantage until the 79-minute mark with undefeated ETBU netted its first goal of the game by Rebecca Davis. That goal sent the game into overtime.

Freshman goal keeper Brittaney Dunn collected her seventh win of the year, playing all 94 minutes in goal, making four saves.

Centenary was out shot 12 to 10 on the evening. Penney led the Ladies with six shots, three on goal. Lee added two shots, one on goal.

Centenary will return to action on Thursday when it hosts McMurry at 4 pm on Mayo Field.
