Volleyball Records Second-Straight Sweep in 3-0 Win Over Schreiner

MARSHALL, Texas-The Centenary volleyball team played a close match with Schreiner, but came away with its second straight sweep in a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-22) win in the ASC Dig Pink Cross-Over Challenge II held in Marshall, Texas on Friday afternoon.

The Ladies improved to 9-7 overall and 4-6 in ASC action and have now won four straight, surpassing their previous streak of three to open the season.

Offensively, Centenary posted a .292 attack percentage as junior middle blocker Shelby Singleton tallied a team-best 11 kills, followed by senior Jaclyn Lopez with 10 kills and freshman Brooke Bahlinger with seven.

Senior setter Caitlin Neese contributed with 30 assists. Defensively, senior Taylor Gilmour made 20 digs to pace the Ladies, while junior Jesi Wilcox tallied 11.

Centenary will return to action on Saturday in Marshall, Texas against Sul Ross at 12:30 pm, followed by Texas Lutheran at 5:30 pm. The Ladies will then return to the Gold Dome in a 2 pm match on Sunday against Mississippi College.
