SHREVEPORT-The Centenary women's soccer team returned to Mayo Field and showcased an impressive performance, shutting out Mary Hardin-Baylor, 2-0 on Friday evening in ASC play.

The Ladies improved their overall record to 9-6-1 and 7-3-1 in conference action.

Centenary used its offensive possessions to their advantage as junior Traci Lee put the Ladies on board first with her fourth goal of the season at the 22-minute mark on a throw in assist by freshman Hannah Phannenstiel.

Despite being out shot 6 to 4 in the opening half, Centenary led 1-0 at halftime.

The Ladies grabbed a quick 2-0 lead to maintain solid control of the contest when junior Kelly Fossard netted her first goal of the season on a perfect pass by junior Allie Cortes.

Freshman goal keeper Brittaney Dunn played all 90 minutes, recording her ninth win and seventh shutout with her four-save performance.

Eight different Ladies recorded a shot as Fossard, Lee and Phannenstiel each recorded one on goal.

Centenary will wrap up the 2011 home slate on Saturday when it hosts Howard Payne at 4 pm. The four Ladies' seniors: Candace Rushing, Eren Corapcioglu, Laura Immenschuh, and Catlin Orschel will be honored following Saturday's contest.
