Preview: Ladies Wrap up 2011 at Millsaps Tournament

SHREVEPORT-The Centenary volleyball team will wrap up its 2011 season when it travels to play four games this weekend at Millsaps' tournament in Jackson, Miss. The Ladies will open play on Friday at 1:30 pm against Millsaps, followed by Bellhaven at 3:30 pm.

Centenary will then meet LaGrange on Saturday at 10 am and Loyola (NO) at 4 pm.

The Ladies enter the final weekend of play with a 13-11 overall record having fallen in their last three contests.

Centenary is led offensively by junior Shelby Singleton 325 kills and a .484 attack percentage. Senior Jaclyn Lopez follows with 242 kills while freshman Brooke Bahlinger is close behind with 204. Senior setter Caitlin Neese paces the offensive with 712 assists, a season-best for the senior. Classmate Taylor Gilmour has tallied 27 service aces to accompany her team-leading 363 digs on the defensive end. Singleton also leads in block solos with 37 and 78 block assists.

Centenary competed in Millsaps tournament a year ago to open its season and secured a win over Belhaven (3-1), but fell to Loyola (3-1).
