ASC Student-Athlete Advisory Committees Set For “Make a Change in 14 Days”

RICHARDSON, Texas – For the sixth consecutive year, Student-Athlete Advisory Committees from all 16 American Southwest Conference member institutions are set to join together in “Make a Change in 14 Days,” a service project collecting loose change to raise funds for local charitable organizations.

The conference-wide project is also designed as a friendly challenge among the ASC campuses.  Along with the top three-earning member SAACs being honored by the conference, institutions will be going head-to-head against their basketball travel partners.  Centenary’s basketball travel partner is local rival East Texas Baptist University.

This Saturday, Centenary has a double-header basketball against the University of the Ozarks.  Students and fans are encouraged to bring loose change to the games to support “Make a Change in 14 Days.”  Jars will be placed at entrances to the Gold Dome and supporters will also have an opportunity at halftimes to give loose change when jars are passed around throughout the stands.

The tip off for the women’s game is 1pm and the men’s game will immediately follow.  We hope to see you at the Gold Dome supporting your Ladies and Gents as well as “Make a Change in 14 Days.”

Keep up with the status of “Make a Change in 14 Days” on the conference’s official website (ASCsports.org), Twitter Feed (@ASC_sports) and Facebook Page.
