SHREVEPORT – After sweeping Saturday’s doubleheader, Centenary will have to settle for a two-game series sweep over East Texas Baptist for now.

Sunday’s game three, which was moved from Friday’s original date, has been cancelled due to rain in the area. No makeup date has been set yet.

Matt Creamer led the Gents in game one with a game-winning RBI double to cap a 4-3 win in eight innings before Centenary exploded for eight runs and 10 hits in its 8-1, seven-inning win in the nightcap.

The Gents (13-4, 7-1 in American Southwest Conference play) have won three straight and nine of their last 10.
