SHREVEPORT – Centenary has a busy week ahead and a tough stretch through the first half of April as the Ladies begin a 14-game home stand Sunday against East Texas Baptist with a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m.

The Ladies are 1-18 overall and 0-14 in American Southwest Conference play, but look to use the long home stand to gain some momentum to close the season on a strong note. Centenary will play the 14 games in a 17-day span before closing the season with its last six on the road.

ETBU is 13-7 overall and 6-2 in ASC play, just a game behind Louisiana College and UT-Tyler for the East Division lead.

In the first meetings March 6, ETBU took both legs of the doubleheader in Marshall, Texas, 4-1 and 10-2 (6 innings).

Keya Brandon is atop the Ladies batting charts, the only batter above the .300 mark at .308. She’s smacked 12 hits in 39 at-bats with four RBIs. Kalyn Harris leads the squad with eight runs batted in and 20 total bases. Harris’ .357 slugging percentage is second only to Brandon’s .385.

Nicole Warren has a team-high 17 hits and 10 runs while Jessica McDonald and Lauren Swift are close behind with 15 hits apiece.
