NEW ORLEANS – Senior Jesi Wilcox grabbed 21 digs Thursday night, becoming just the third player in Centenary history to record more than 500 digs in a season, but the Ladies fell to the University of New Orleans 3-1 to finish the year.

Wilcox finished her career with 501 digs, third-most in Centenary history, just 45 behind Kelly Heckman (2002).

The Ladies wrap up the season 2-32 while the University of New Orleans improves to 8-15, snapping its three-match losing skid.

After falling behind 2-0 in identical 25-22 sets, the Ladies rebounded with a 25-23 set-three win, posting a .267 hitting mark, their best hitting percentage in any set this year. Centenary posted 15 kills and just three errors in 45 attacks. UNO grabbed the fourth set, 25-18.

Brooke Bahlinger recorded a team-best 13 kills with just two errors to lead the Ladies. Sara Irons recorded double-digit kills with 11. That marked the first time this year the Ladies posted two hitters in double-digit kills.

"Offensively, it was probably our best match of the year," head coach Jon Stenman said. "If we could've passed the ball better, we would've upset them."

UNO posted four with double-digits kills, led by Taylor Berry’s 17 in 39 attacks.

The Ladies forced 21 tie scores and 14 lead changes in the four-set loss.
