SHREVEPORT, La – The Centenary softball team returns to action Friday hosting a doubleheader against the University of Houston-Victoria beginning at 1 p.m. The Ladies begin a stretch with nine of the next ten games played in the confines of the Centenary Softball Complex.

Last time out, Centenary (1-13) dropped both games to LSU-Alexandria on Wednesday 4-3.

Entering that series, Lauren Swift leads the squad with a .419 batting average and has 13 hits. Lynsi Unruh follows with a .286 average. Cadie Hancock paces the Maroon and White with 3 homeruns and 10 RBI. Unruh has tossed 38.1 innings, while Lindsey Sconce has seen 28.2 innings in the circle.

Houston-Victoria (4-14) came out with a victory last time out against Georgia Gwinnett College 8-4 in the Mobile Tournament at Gulf Shores, Ala.

Following Friday’s twinbill, Centenary hosts a doubleheader against Hendrix on Monday beginning at 4 p.m.
