Fain MIC Coach of the Year; Price and Crowley named MIC All-Conference

SHREVEPORT, La. – Following season bests performances at the Midwest Independent Conference Gymnastics Championship, Centenary picked up postseason MIC awards, as announced by the conference office.

Ladies’ head coach Jackie Fain was named MIC Coach of the Year as voted by the conference’s head coaches.  The accolade is her first as a head coach and her second laurel from the conference as she was named Assistant Coach of the Year at Texas Woman’s University in 2005.

Centenary’s Robyn Price and Meg Crowley also received honors from the conference garnering all-conference accolades.

Price was named First Team All-MIC on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.825. Price was also tabbed as a second team all-conference performer on the floor with a career-high score of 9.850.

Meg Crowley received first team all-conference nods on the floor tying for the top spot with a season-high 9.875. The score also helped Crowley to a third place finish in the all-around.

Crowley was also among six Ladies' named Scholastic all-conference along with Christy Martinez, Jessica Lieblich, Amanda Holt, Christine Langston and Stephanie Strickler.

Centenary turns its attention to the USA Gymnastics National Championships April 12-14 in the Gold Dome on the Centenary campus.
