LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Centenary's Lynsi Unruh was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Unruh started and earned the win in both of Centenary’s wins during the week over the University of Dallas. The Houston, Texas, native went 2-0 and allowed just two earned runs (1.00 ERA) during the week. In 14 innings of work. She scattered nine hits, four walks (0.93 WHIP) and struck out 16 batters to average 8.00 strikeouts per seven innings pitched. Unruh struck out at least six batters in each game with a high of 10 in Wednesday’s first game against Dallas.

The junior becomes the first Ladies' player to earn the conference's weekly honor this season.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Apr. 26 at 2 p.m. in Irving, Texas as the Ladies, the third seed, faces No. 2-seed Southwestern in the SCAC Championship.
