IRVING, Texas – Three members of the Centenary softball team were named to the 2013 All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Team, as announced by the conference office Friday evening.

The trio marks the first all-conference selections since Regina Salvatore was named to the All-Summitt League Second Team in 2011.

Senior Lauren Swift was named to the first team and becomes the first Ladies’ player to receive first team accolades since 2009. Swift led the Maroon and White this season with 43 hits, 19 RBI, 10 doubles and two triples while tying Cadie Hancock for the top spot in homeruns with four. The senior from Beaumont, Texas, ranks among the leaders in the SCAC in batting average with a .422 clip at the dish.

Juniors Nicole Warren and Lynsi Unruh join Swift on the All-SCAC team as Unruh grabbed second team honors with Warren being named as an honorable mention to the team. The duo rank among the top five hitters for the Ladies’ this season while Warren ranks second on the team in hits with 31. Unruh picked up all-conference laurels for her work in the circle. The hurler registered 107 strikeouts on the season while recording eight of the Maroon and White’s wins on the season.

Centenary concluded its season with a pair of losses in the SCAC Championship falling 7-6 to Southwestern before dropping a 6-0 decision to host Dallas.
