SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary women’s gymnastics coach Jackie Fain announced that Saxon Reaux completed the necessary paperwork and deposit with intent to attend Centenary College of Louisiana.

"I am super excited to be adding Saxon to our roster this season. She is a very talented gymnast who has all the qualities of a top notch collegiate athlete,” said the Midwest Independent Conference Coach of the Year. “She will be joining an already strong incoming class, but I think she will make an immediate impact in our beam and floor line-ups, where we lost several routines from our graduating seniors. I see great things in her future"

Saxon comes to Centenary from Colony High School in Colony, Texas. She was a regional qualifier from 2009-2011 and qualified for Western Nationals (2010), Junior Olympic Nationals (2011) and the NIT (2012). Saxon placed third on the beam and fifth in all-around at the 2013 Anna Brasher Invitational after finishing first on the beam the previous two seasons at the invite. Along with her first place finish on the beam in 2011, she also finished first on the floor. In 2010, Saxon claimed a Region 3 Floor Championship.

Reaux joins Allison Scates, Megan Frazzini, Jordan Anderson and Hannah Dee Smith, who completed their paperwork earlier this summer.

Centenary finished its 2013 campaign with a third place finish at the USA Gymnastics National Championships.
