PINEVILLE, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision on Thursday evening at Louisiana College. The Gents fall to 0-2 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 2-1.

LC took a 2-0 lead into the intermission after the Maroon and White surrendered the pair of own goals on Wildcat crosses into the box. Caio Sousa added the third goal in the 79th minute as Greg McDoom concluded the Wildcats’ scoring in the 81st minute.

The Maroon and White faced a stingy, Wildcat defense that allowed just four Centenary shots on the night. Rykley Crowe, Gabriel Zahm, Jeremy Klespis and Joshua Lichtenwalner combined for the shots with Klespis and Zahm registering shots on goal.

Austin Andrews (0-2) was saddled with the loss in net for the Gents allowing two goals in the opening half with four saves. Rylan Whan played the remaining 45 minutes surrendering two goals partnered with six saves. LC totaled 31 shots on the evening with 14 coming on goal.

Cameron Vauclin and Micha Prudhomme split time in goal for the Wildcats registering a save each with Vauclin picking up the win to improve to 2-1.

Centenary returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 11 against Austin College. The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener is slated for 7 p.m. at Mayo Field.
