CONWAY, Ark. – Rhodes’ Patrick Harris posts a hat trick in the first half to down the Centenary men’s soccer team in a 5-1 decision on the final day of the Hendrix College Tournament. Rhodes moves to 2-4 on the season while the Gents fall to 0-5.

Harris totaled all three goals in the first 37 minutes of the contest leading the Lynx to a 4-0 lead at the intermission.  Evan Wladis added the final goal of the half in the final minute before the half of an assist from Jonathan Fisher and Ben Gorss. Along with Wladis’ goal he also assisted on Harris’ third goal in the 37th minute.

The Red and Black totaled 18 shots on the day with 10 coming on goal.

The Gents gathered their lone score of the afternoon off the foot Chris Berrios. The goal marked the first for Berrios as it came in the 79th minute on a pair of assists from Zachary Kidder and Cole Davidson.

As a squad, the Maroon and White tallied just six shots on the day with three on target. Berrios led the squad with two – both staying on target – while Danny Haar, Gabriel Zahm, Rykley Crowe and Davidson each recorded shots.

Chase Duet (0-1) took the loss in net for the Gents allowing four goals on the afternoon with one save. Austin Andrews took the final 45 minutes in goal recording four saves with a goal allowed.

Riley Sheen recorded the win with a pair of saves against the one goal allowed.

Centenary returns to action on Tuesday, Sept. 17 as the Maroon and White host LeTourneau. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m.
