SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team fell 3-1 to LeTourneau University on Tuesday evening at Mayo Field in non-conference action. The loss moves the Maroon and White to 0-6 on the season while LETU improves to 1-4-1.

Kellan Klaus tallied the lone goal on the evening for the Gents in the 58th minute on a free kick. The goal was the first of the season for the Lake Charles, La., product.

Patrick Tchekane posted two goals in the Jackets win. Israel Madrid tallied the first score of the night in the 22nd minute of an assist from Josh Bishop. The assist was one of two on the evening for Bishop as he supplied Tchekane with his final goal of the night.

The Maroon and White took 11 shots on the night, including seven on goal. The Jackets posted 15 shots in the contest with 10 on target.

Joe Myers received the win in net for the Blue and Gold with six saves against the lone goal allowed.

Austin Andrew (0-4) was saddled with the lone for the Gents despite recording seven saves on the evening.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Sept. 20 with a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference affair at the University of Dallas. The match is scheduled for 5 p.m.
