SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend with a pair of road trips. The Gents (0-7) open Friday, Sept. 20 at the University of Dallas at 5 p.m. and close the road swing on Sunday, Sept. 22 at Colorado College at 2 p.m.

Junior Kellan Klaus supplied the lone goal for the Maroon and White in a 3-1 setback on Tuesday evening to LeTourneau. The goal was the first for the Lake Charles, La., native and tied him for the team lead with Chris Berrios, Jeremy Klespis and Daryn Beaugh.

Berrios, who paces the squad with eight shots on the season, is tied for the top spot on the squad in assists along with Cole Davidson and Zachary Kidder.

Freshman goalkeeper Austin Andrews ranks second in the conference in saves. The Gonzalez, La., native has tallied 25 on the campaign and sits sixth in the SCAC in save percentage at 73-percent.

UD enters the weekend with a 4-2 record after dropping its last two contests while the Tigers 1-2-2 after claiming their first victory of the season with a 3-1 decision over Dallas on Sunday.

The Crusaders’ Nathan Nwaeze is tied for the top spot on the team with four goals on the year while Aaron Hegemann ranks fourth with two goals and is tied with CC’s Brandon Ogilvie in the category.

P.J. Hasson sits fourth in the league in saves with 21 for the Blue and White while Ian Horne is fifth with 18 on the year.

Following the weekend slate, Centenary returns to the pitch on Friday, Sept. 27 as the Gents travel to Trinity University for an 8 p.m., SCAC contest.
