MARSHALL, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team dropped a hard fought, three set match at East Texas Baptist. The Ladies fall to 1-12 on the season while ETBU improves to 11-5.

Brooke Bahlinger led the squad with nine kills in the match posting a .240 attack percentage. Beth Nuttall tallied 19 assists in the three matches. Sarah Sumner tallied 13 digs, defensively, while Lindsey Long added a team-best four blocks.

After falling 25-16 in the first set, the Maroon and White rallied back in the second set before dropping a 25-21 decision. The Tigers closed out the match with a 25-11 claiming the non-conference affair.

The duo of Melanie Moyer and Kolby Sharp combined for 22 kills in the decision with 11 each. Moyer also led the squad with 12 digs. Kayla Taylor dished out a team-leading 21 assists with 12 coming from Nicole Buzzard.

Centenary returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 28 as the Ladies travel to Georgetown, Texas for the second SCAC divisional.
