SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary volleyball team returns to action this weekend as the Ladies (1-12) travel to Georgetown, Texas, for the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Divisional at Southwestern University.

Centenary opens the divisional on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10:30 a.m. against SCAC newcomer Texas Lutheran and closes out the opening day against Trinity at 5 p.m. The Maroon and White face the host Pirates at 12 p.m. on Sunday before concluding the weekend slate against Schreiner at 2 p.m.

Sarah Sumner leads the Ladies entering the weekend contests with 96 kills on the season. Brooke Bahlinger, who ranks third in kills with 79, paces the team in digs with 119 on the campaign. Lindsey Long leads the Maroon and White with a .165 attack percentage and is fifth on the team in kills with 41. Defensively, the sophomore sits atop the squad in blocks with 23.

Lone, senior Beth Nuttall has registered a team-leading 288 assists this season which ranks fourth in the conference.

Trinity enters the weekend with a 13-3 record while Southwestern is 10-5 on the campaign. The two squads sit second and third in the conference standings behind undefeated and nationally-ranked Colorado College. Texas Lutheran is 7-5 overall with Shreiner at 3-9 on the year.

Following the weekend slate, the Ladies return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 1 as they host East Texas Baptist at 6 p.m.
