GEORGETOWN, Texas – A Steven Resnik goal marked the difference as the Centenary men’s soccer team fell 1-0 at Southwestern on Sunday afternoon. Resnik posted the lone score of the contest in the 47th minute to run the Pirates’ record to 7-5 overall and 5-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. The Gents fall to 0-10 and 0-5 in the SCAC.

Rylan Whan, in his second start of the season, played all 90 minutes for the Maroon and White and registered seven saves in the outing. The Pirates ripped off 28 shots in the contest with 13 coming on goal.

Kellan Klaus paced the Centenary offensive attack with two of the four shots taken in the affair. The junior placed the pair of attempts on target. Gabriel Zahm and Chris Berrios combined for the remaining shots.

Daniel Poole claimed the win in goal for the Black and Gold with three saves in the contest.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Oct. 4 as the Gents host Texas Lutheran at 7 p.m.
