SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team hosts Texas Lutheran and Shcreiner this weekend in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. The Maroon and White open the weekend slate at 7 p.m. against TLU on Friday, Oct. 4 before closing out against SU at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

A quartet of Gents lead the team in goals as Chris Berrios, Kellan Klaus, Jeremy Klespis and Daryn Beaugh have each scored a goal. Berrios and Cole Davidson sit first and second on the team in shots with Berrios attempting 11 and 10 coming from Davidson.

Austin Andrews leads Centenary in saves with 45 on the campaign while Rylan Whan, who has 21 on the year after seven saves against Southwestern in his last outing, leads the team in save percenetage at just shy of 78-percent.

Texas Lutheran is 5-3 on the season while SU is in search of its first win of the year.

Schreiner’s Justin Edwards is tied for third in the conference with four saves on the year to lead the team.  Isaac Lopez paces TLU with three goals on the year.

Jonathan Michael is tied for fourth in saves with 40 this season for the Bulldogs while Blake Lawson is second in the conference with 48 saves to lead SU.

Following the weekend action, Centenary returns to action on Friday, Oct. 11 at Texas Lutheran. Match time is scheduled for 3 p.m.
