SHREVEPORT, La. – Carly Slovensky logged her second, multiple-goal contest as the Centenary women’s soccer team snapped a three-game skid. The Ladies improve to 3-8-2 on the season and 1-5 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. SU falls to 0-11 and 0-6 in the SCAC.

Slovensky’s two scores came in the opening half as the Maroon and White held off a strong, second half, offensive effort from the Mountaineers in the decision. The Richmond, Texas, native now stands the team’s leader in goals with five.

Madison Alexander provided assists on both Centenary goals along with Laurie Priftis logging her first assist of the season chiming in on the second goal. Alexander leads the team with four on the year.

Erica Coker logged 12 saves in the victory picking up her third win on the campaign. The double-digit, save performance marks the third contest of the last four and her fourth on the year.

The Ladies attempted 17 shots in the contest, including 12 in the opening 45 minutes.

Lizeth De La Torre took the loss in net for the Mountaineers despite recording 10 saves.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Oct. 11 as the Ladies travel to Texas Lutheran. Match time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
