SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team fell 9-0 to Trinity at Mayo Field on Friday evening. The Gents move to 0-15 overall and 0-10 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference while TU improves to 12-2-1 and 9-1 in conference play.

Jonny Lawson tallied a hat trick in the first half and assisted on two scores to lead the Tigers. Goncalo Santana led with six of TU’s 34 shots in the contest.

Cole Davidson guided the offensive effort for the Maroon and White with three shots – all coming on goal. Kellan Klaus, Gabriel Zahm, Chris Berrios and Cullen Gallet each tallied two shots each with Daryn Beaugh and Zachary Kidder rounding out the shot takers.

Rylan Whan recorded 10 saves and allowed seven goals in the first half en route to being saddled with the loss. Austin Andrews played the final 45 minutes with three saves and two goals allowed.

Centenary returns to action Sunday, Oct. 20 as the Gents host Southwestern. Match is slated for 2 p.m.
