SHREVEPORT, La. – The Centenary men’s soccer team fell 3-1 to Colorado College  on Senior Day in a contest that was the tale of two halves. The Gents move to 1-17 on the season and 1-12 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action while CC improved to 11-5-2 and 9-3 in league play.

The Maroon and White’s lone goal of outing came off the foot of Cole Davidson in the 68th minute giving the freshman his second score of the season. The Midlothian, Texas, native is tied with Chris Berrios, who assisted on the play, Kellan Klaus and Jeremy Klepsis for the team lead in goals this season.

Berrios’ assist ties him with Zach Kidder for tops on the squad with two on the campaign.

Gabriel Zahm and Kidder paced the squad with two shots each as the team posted eight on the afternoon.

The Tigers scored all three of goals in a span for 17 minutes in the affair. Seth Newby posted the first score in the 18th minute unassisted as Stuart Beezley took an assist from Sean Parham in the 35th minute to give the Black and Gold its final score. Brandon Olilvie sandwiched his goal in the 30th minute of an assist from Ben Glass.

Chase Duet, who honored prior to the contest along with Danny Haar and Kevin Hurtado as the Gents’ trio of seniors, played 74 minutes in goal for the Maroon and White and took the loss with three saves. Austin Andrews recorded the final amount of time in net with four saves.

Ian Horne (9-4-2) claimed the win for the Tigers with two saves against the goal surrendered.

Caden MacKenzie and Sean Parham paced the Black and Gold with four shots each. Colorado College attempted 24 shots on the day.

Centenary closes out the regular season on Friday, Nov. 1 as the Gents travel to Austin College. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
