SHERMAN, Texas – The Centenary men’s soccer team concluded the 2013 campaign in winning fashion on Friday afternoon as the Gents claimed a 3-1 victory at Austin College.  Centenary finishes 2-17 overall and 2-12 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play while the Roos fall to 4-11-3 and 4-8-2 in the league.

Zachary Kidder, Gabriel Zahm and Cole Davidson each recorded goals to lead the Maroon and White to the victory as Rylan Whan and Austin Andrews combined for seven saves.

After AC pasted the first score of the game on the board, Kidder answered nearly 10 minutes later off an assist from Zahm to knot the game at 1-all. The score was the first of the season for Kidder as Zahm gathered his first assist of the season.

Just over 10 minutes later Kidder along with Joshua Lichtenwalner teamed up to assist Zahm in the go-ahead goal and his first score of the season in the 45th minute. The assist was the team-leading, third of the season for Kidder and the first for Lichtenwalner.

Cole Davidson helped close the door in the 67th minute scoring his third goal of the season off an assist from Clinton Azeez, his first of the season.

Whan registered his second, career win in goal with 45 minutes in net and four saves. Andrews closed out the evening for the Gents collecting three saves.

Kidder led the team with three shots on the day as the Gents tallied 10 total.
