SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team dropped a pair of straight-set losses on Friday in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship. Centenary fell to  Trinity (9-25, 18-25, 14-25) in the opening match before finishing the season against Austin College (14-25, 13-25, 18-25).

Sarah Sumner paced the Ladies in the contest with AC putting down seven kills in the three sets along with a team-best 14 digs. Rachel Perkins dished out a team-best 18 assists. Chelsea Petska chimed in 11 digs to join Sumner with double-digits.

Against TU, Lindsey Long led the way an attack percentage of .429 and four kills – which was third on the team. Brooke Bahlinger recorded a team-best six kills with five coming from Sarah Sumner. Rachel Perkins tallied a team-leading 15 assists. Chelsea Petska led the defensive charge with 11 digs for the Maroon and White.

Audrey Hazelwood led Trinity with eight kills with 14 assists coming from Erika Edrington and 10 from Maryn Swierc. Shannon Courtney totaled a team-best 13 digs.

Shelby Eaves led the Roos with a double-double 19 kills and team-leading 12 digs in the match. Kelsey Klinger supplied 31 assists with Alyse Magnuson also earning double-figure digs with 11 in the three sets.

Centenary faces Dallas at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
