Alexander, Lee named to All-SCAC Women's Soccer Team

SHREVEPORT, La. – Centenary women’s soccer players Traci Lee and Madison Alexander were named to the 34-member All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in an exclusive vote by the conference’s head coaches. Alexander received second team honors as Lee was named an honorable mention.

The duo helped move the Ladies into the conference tournament for the first time since 2004.

“Madison and Traci have meant so much to this program and played special roles in the success we had this season,” said head coach and Centenary Hall of Famer Glenn Evans. “Both were leaders for the team this year.”

Alexander led the Ladies in assists with four on the season and finished her second season with the Maroon and White tied for second on the team in goals with three and points with 10. The Keller, Texas, native also tied for the top spot on the team in shots with 30.

Lee anchored a defensive unit for Centenary that assisted in four shutouts on the campaign. The Tyler, Texas, product helped establish a defensive line after moving from forward to defender a season ago. The senior tallied an assist this season and ranked fourth on the team in shots with 23.

Centenary concluded its season with a 1-0, overtime loss to Texas Lutheran in SCAC Championship. The Ladies finished with a 5-12-2 overall record.
