Two-Day Clinics

June 1-2:          Serving and Passing

This clinic focuses entirely on serving and passing. Players can expect to touch hundreds of balls while learning serving and passing moves such as the standing serve, jump serve, top spin and jump-float serve techniques, as well as ball control, free-ball passing and serve-receive passing.

June 2-3:          Setting and Hitting

The Setter/Hitter Clinic is for athletes who have established themselves as a setter or hitter and want to improve on one of these skills. The sessions focus specifically on improving advanced hitting or setting techniques as well as proper footwork and arm-swing techniques for improved execution during game situations through excellent, intensive training.

June 3-4:          All Skills

This clinic is designed for individuals who want to develop and strengthen all the fundamental skills of the game including setting, passing, hitting, blocking, defense, and serving.   In addition, strategies and team concepts will be discussed and shown in unique drills.  Players will be grouped according to age, experience and skill level.   This camp is appropriate for all levels and experience.

Team Tournament

June 14

This will be a one-day tournament for your high school varsity or junior varsity team.  You may also enter a freshman team or a club team.  Players who want to participate but do not have a team will be able to play as well on a mixed team.  We hope to make this a traditional summer tournament every summer at Centenary.  The goal is to raise money for our Ladies Volleyball Team; therefore they will be running the tournament as well as refereeing it, with coaches there to supervise.

Satellite Clinics

$1,000 per team

Two days, four sessions

We work specifically with the high school coach to create a two-day program based on that particular high school program’s needs.  There is definitely a focus on ball control during these clinics.  Everything else is based on the needs of the program.  These clinics are our specialty and we have been doing them for the past seven years every summer.  We hope to get our current Centenary players’ former high school programs involved so that our players can come back to their high schools and assist us at the clinic.  Much cheaper than going somewhere to a Team Camp.
