COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Centenary men’s soccer team moved to 3-1 on the season behind two, second half goals to nip Concordia (MN) College 2-1. The start is the best since 1997 for the program.

Jeremy Klespis provided the game-winning goal for the Maroon and White as the Huntsville, Texas, sophomore scored his first goal of the season in the 85’ minute off a deflection.

Trailing 1-0 at the break, Zach Kidder knotted the contest in the 56’ off an assist. Kidder’s 7-yard strike came off an assist from Jason Aiken. The goal was the first of the season for Kidder and marked the third assist for Aiken. The Katy, Texas, sophomore has all three Centenary assists this season.

Austin Andrews garnered his first win of the season in net for the Gents. The Gonzales, La., native tallied two saves against 13 shots including three on goal in the contest.

The Maroon and White attempted a season-high 21 shots on the day placing 10 on target – also a season-high.

Nick Koerbitz placed CC on the board in the 32’ minute on a header from six yards out. Joe Thomas set up the score for Koerbitz off a corner kick.

The Cobbers attempted 13 shots on the day including three on goal. Both marks are the fewest allowed by the Gents this season.

Ben Glogoza took the loss in net for Concordia recording eight saves against the two goals allowed.
