SEGUIN, Texas – The Centenary women’s soccer team fell 1-0 at Texas Lutheran University on Friday evening. The Ladies move to 1-6 on the season and 0-1 in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action. TLU improves to 3-3-1 and 1-0 in the conference.

Centenary attempted six shots in the contest with half being placed on goal. Marissa Hughes and Hannah Bate posted a combined four shots to lead the team. Hannah Jo Wright and AJ Walsh each took a shot in the outing. Bate and Walsh combined for the three shots on target.

Erica Coker (1-5) took the decision in net for the Maroon and White. The sophomore recorded five saves against 20 Bulldog shots.

The lone score came in the 39’ as Sioned Kilpatrick scored off a rebound. The goal is her fourth of the season. Kilpatrick paced the Black and Gold with five shots in the affair with Taylor Vatuna adding three attempts.

Erin Rose registered the win in goal for the Dogs saving three shots.

Centenary returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 21 at Schreiner University. Kick is slated for 3 p.m.
