SHREVEPORT, La. – A goal in the 80’ of the contest sealed the fate for the Centenary men’s soccer team as they dropped a nail-bitter 1-0 to Louisiana College. The setback moves the Gents to 4-9-3 on the campaign.

Pedro Silva found the back of the net to give the Wildcats the victory on his team-leading fourth shot of the night and second on goal. LC attempted 18 shots on the evening with eight being placed on target.

Centenary attempted nine shots on the night including a team-best three from the foot of Gabe Zahm. Tristan Serigny added two shots on the evening while Ivann Amaya, Daryn Beaugh, Jake Morrison and Zach Kidder each recorded attempts.

Andrew Behm recorded seven saves in the loss in goal.

Travis Alexander and Nathan Gautreaux each saw action in net for the Wildcats. Alexander recorded a bulk of the playing time with 73:13 and two saves to his credit. Gautreaux played the final 16:47 with one save in the ouiting.

Centenary returns to action on Friday, Oct. 24 as they host Texas Lutheran. Kick is slated for 5 p.m.
