LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Centenary’s Riley Spudic and Madison Alexander were named to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Second Team as announced by the conference office on Friday. The pair is among 28 members named to the all-conference squad that is voted on by the conference’s head coaches.

The accolade marks the third straight for Alexander who was a first team selection in 2012 and a second team honoree in 2013. The junior led the squad with three goals which is tied for 15th in the conference. The Keller, Texas, native was also tied for tops on the team in assists.

Spudic garnered her first all-conference accolade. One of the top defenders in the SCAC, the Coppell, Texas, product logged a goal in her debut season with the Maroon and White. Her score came against nationally-ranked Trinity and was the first surrendered by the Tigers in nine outings that spanned 26 days.

The recognition marks the first time two Centenary women’s soccer players have been tabbed all-conference since 2012 with Alexander was joined by Traci Lee.
