KERRVILLE, Texas – The Ladies allowed three goals early and could not recover as Centenary College (1-8, 0-5 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell on the road to Schreiner (6-3-1, 3-1 SCAC) Sunday afternoon, September 27.

With the Ladies trailing 2-0, Freshman Maddy Brown was able to put a header on goal in the 25th minute. However, the Mountaineers quickly changed the field and Laura Atenzi scored 29 seconds later for the final Schreiner score of the game. Freshman Madeline Herr (0-3), who broke the school record for saves in a game on Friday night, managed four saves on seven shots faced.

Kyli Harvey opened the scoring in the second minute for Schreiner, scoring on a pass from Alexis Overdiek. Schreiner outshot Centenary 19-1. The Mountaineers were led by Harvery’s seven shots, including four on goal, and the opening score of the game.

The Ladies return to action Friday, October 2, against Dallas at 4 p.m.
