Ladies Soccer Adds Connor Harwood for 2016 Season

SHREVEPORT, La. – Announced Wednesday (December 23), the Centenary Ladies soccer program and third year coach David Orr are pleased to announce the addition of Connor Harwood for the 2016 season.

“Connor’s decision to join the Centenary Ladies Soccer and continue her education at Centenary College is awesome! I originally recruited Connor while she was in high school, and I couldn’t be happier to have her join our squad in 2016,” said Orr. “Connor is an exceptional student, soccer player and person. She’s an experienced, tough, smart and skilled central midfielder and a great teammate. I know she will become an exceptional player for the Centenary Ladies Soccer program.”

Connor will join the Ladies soccer program after playing the last two seasons for Paul Davenport. Harwood helped the Rebels take the Region V Championship in both 2014 and 2015. This past season, Hill College ranked as high as 11th nationally, the highest ranking in program history.

Prior to Hill College, Connor played soccer for head coach Jason Grammer at R.L. Paschal HS. With the Panthers, she was named Second Team All-District her senior season and also was named Coaches Academic Second Team.

Connor is the daughter of Thomas and Kristine Harwood and has one brother, Sean. At Centenary, she intends to major in political science.
