COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Gents surrendered a goal early in each half and could not find many scoring chances as Centenary (4-6, 1-5 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference) fell to #24 Colorado College (7-1-1, 5-1 SCAC) in a rainy game in Colorado Springs, Colorado,  Friday night, Sept. 30.

Down 2-0 in the 53rd minute, freshman Gabe Rodriguez’s shot was stopped by Colorado College goalie Keller Mochel. Just seconds later, freshman Bailey DeRoussel’s shot went wide as the Gents failed to get on the scoreboard.

Freshman Nic Douthit’s header in the 83rd minute also was grabbed as the Tigers finished the shutout.

Senior goalie Rylan Whan grabbed five saves on eight shots faced to fall to 4-6 on the year. His counterpart for Colorado College, Mochel, saved both shots faced to preserve the shutout for his first decision of the season.

Colorado College opened up the scoring in the sixth minute when Hayden Cogswell made an unassisted goal from eight yards out. In the 49th minute, Tim Huettel scored on a direct kick to the upper left corner of the goal from 23 yards out.

Daniel Krueger closed the scoring with his first goal of the season on a cross from Huettel in the 74th minute.
