This will be the fifth meeting between the Ladies and the Tigers, as Centenary swept all four meetings earlier this season in San Antonio. On March 25, the Ladies outlasted the Tigers in 10 innings for a 3-2 win, before taking the nightcap 7-4.

Centenary completed the four-game sweep with a 5-3 and 3-2 win on March 26. With only two wins in 16 games against Trinity prior to this year, it was the first Ladies sweep of the Tigers and the first wins at Trinity in program history.

History Made Again

Last year, Centenary softball finished the season 23-22, the first time in six seasons the Ladies finished with double-digit wins and the first time finishing above .500 since the 2009 season.

The Maroon and White made further history this season, winning the most conference games (12) since winning 17 during the 2008 season.

Among the National Leaders

Three different Ladies rank in the top-25 in NCAA Division III.

Sophomore Wendy Gillet leads the nation with eight sacrifice flies, two better than her nearest competitor. She is joined near the top in the NCAA by two classmates, as Nichole Aldridge is fifth with four saves.

Finally, Payton LeBlanc leads the conference and is 25th in the nation with 31 stolen bases, which is fourth best season output in Ladies history. Michelle Reeve (1997) sits third with 32.

Looking at the Bracket

If Centenary beats Trinity, it returns to action Friday night at approximately 6 p.m. against second-seeded Southwestern. If the Ladies fall to Trinity, they return to action Saturday morning at 10 a.m.
