Gents Golf Announces Two Additions for 2017-18

SHREVEPORT, La. – Gents golf head coach Emlyn Aubrey is pleased to announce the additions of Austin Craig and Harrison John on Wednesday, August 9.

“Both players consistently shot in the low 70’s in high school,” remarked Aubrey. “They can be very helpful right off the bat for us in their first year at Centenary. I am looking forward to watching them play and progress in their time here with Gents golf.”

Here is a closer look at both Craig and John.

 

Austin Craig

Freshman

Center, Texas / Center HS

 

Craig won a District Championship for the Center High School golf team in 2017. Academically with the Roughriders, he made the All A Honor Roll.

Craig is the son of Traci Willoughby. At Centenary, he is undecided on a major.

 

Harrison John

Freshman

Lafayette, La. / Ascension Episcopal School

 

John played golf for head coach Chris John at Ascension Episcopal School. For the Blue Gators, he finished All-Acadiana twice. Academically, he was a member of the Beta Club and an inductee into the National English Honor Society.

The son of Chris and Payton John and has a brother, Hays. At Centenary, he intends to major in business.
