Cross Country Ladies Take ORU Classic

Tulsa, Okla.—The Centenary Ladies cross country team recorded its first victory of the season as they defeated Oral Roberts at the Subway ORU Classic on Saturday. Centenary won the meet by the score of 27-28.

Esther Seitz placed second to lead the Ladies with a time of 25:38.57 in the 6K run. Seitz finished 39 seconds behind the individual winner, Amanda Moore from Oral Roberts and 20 seconds ahead of the next closest finisher. Angela Tryba placed fifth in her first-ever cross country meet while Louise Smyth (7th), Taylor Robertson (9th), and Holly Richardson (10th) rounded out the Centenary contributors.

The Gents also competed in the competition, placing third in the contest. David Reiland was Centenary's top finisher, claiming 12th place. Brian Williams placed 16th, Jeff Stotts was 17th, Michael Marcelli was 18th, and Steven Deas landed in 20th for the Gents.
