Shreveport—The Centenary women’s soccer team took advantage of an outmanned Alcorn State squad as it won its sixth consecutive match, 14-0, Wednesday afternoon at Mayo Field.

Rebecca Wiese started the scoring early, converting in the fourth minute of the first half. By the 15th minute, Wiese had earned a hat trick and given the Ladies a 4-0 lead.

Mindi Levinski continued to set up the offense, notching three assists within the first 22 minutes of the game. In total, 11 different players scored for the Ladies in the match, with Rita Stevenson contributing two goals. Ashley Bouillion and Courtney McCotter came off the bench to add a goal and two assists each, while Ashlee Mantooth also earned two assists in the match.

The Ladies outshot the Lady Braves, 51-0, and took 17 corner kicks while not allowing any. Alcorn State came to Shreveport with only eight players, as the rest of the team could not leave Mississippi due to midterms. After playing a full first half, the two teams agreed to play a 25-minute second half eight-on-eight.

Centenary (8-6-1) will now make its push to qualify for the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament, as its last four matches are against conference foes. That stretch begins Monday, October 20, when the Ladies travel to face Oral Roberts beginning at 6 p.m.
