Centenary Basketball Teams To Hold Open House
Monday, October 27, 2003

Shreveport—The Centenary men’s and women’s basketball teams invite the public to come to the Gold Dome on Saturday, November 1, beginning at 7 p.m., for a free open house featuring contests and intrasquad scrimmages.

Following the 5 p.m. Centenary Ladies volleyball match against Oral Roberts, the basketball teams will be introduced to the crowd, followed by a series of competitions featuring members of those teams. The Ladies basketball team will then hold an intrasquad scrimmage, followed by a scrimmage by the Gents.

There will be opportunities for members of the audience to win prizes through various contests to be announced at the open house. The coaches and players for both the Ladies and Gents will be available throughout the evening to meet with their fans and talk about the upcoming season.

Both the Ladies and Gents are entering their first season of competition in the Mid-Continent Conference. The two teams are aiming to qualify for the Mid-Con Conference Tournament to be held at historic Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo., on March 6-9, 2004. By winning that tournament, Centenary will receive the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
