Gents' Pickard Selected Second Team All-Mid-Con

Elmhurst, Ill.—Centenary Gents soccer player Garret Pickard was named second team All-Mid-Continent Conference as announced by the conference office. The senior from Cedar Hill, Tex., finished second on the Centenary squad with four goals, four assists, and 12 total points.

Pickard, a 2002 NSCAA/Adidas All-Region selection, places in several of Centenary’s career scoring categories. He finished his eligibility ranked second all-time with 28 assists and is fourth in goals (27) and total points (82). His 16 assists in 2002 were the second-most in a single season for the Gents.

Trey Vaut of Oral Roberts took home the Offensive Player of the Year award while Jason Perry of Oaklnd was the Defensive Player of the Year. Miguel Menduina, Vaut’s teammate at ORU, garnered Newcomer of the Year status and Rick Benben of UMKC was named Coach of the Year.
