Shreveport—The Centenary Ladies easily won their only exhibition of the preseason with an 81-66 victory over Texas A&M-Commerce in the Gold Dome Saturday night. The Ladies sank 11 three-pointers on the evening and allowed only one to the visiting Lions.

The lead changed hands three times in the early going after Centenary scored the first basket of the game on a jumper by senior Julie Danieles. The Ladies then took control of the contest as senior Alexis Pettway sank one of two free throws at the 5:14 mark of the first half to give Centenary a 26-25 advantage. The Ladies never trailed the rest of the way as they led by as much as 21 points in the second half.

Danieles paced Centenary with 20 points on 7-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-7 from behind the three-point line. Pettway notched a double-double with 17 points and ten rebounds while freshman Holli Wilkins pumped in 15 points on five three-pointers in her first collegiate contest.

Texas A&M-Commerce was led by Tamikki Williams and Amy Putman who each finished with 21 points. Putman also pulled down a game-high 15 boards. Hazel Woods rounded out the double-digit scorers for the Lions with 15 points.
