Ladies Golf Program Signs Two Players For 2004-05

SHREVEPORT – Centenary women’s golf coach Ken Dupree has announced that Lindsay Lewis and Chloe’ Mims have signed national letters of intent to come to Centenary and play on the Ladies golf team beginning in the 2004-05 school year.

Mims is a native of Texarkana, Tex., and attends Pleasant Grove High School. The 5-7 athlete has played several sports throughout her high school career, but recently decided to concentrate on golf. Lewis comes from Spring, Tex., where she has been the top golfer on the Oak Ridge High School squad for four years.

“I feel extremely lucky to sign the caliber of player such as Chloe’ and Lindsay,” Dupree said. “They will immediately enhance our efforts to build a solid women’s golf program at Centenary College.”

Centenary College of Louisiana is a Division I member of the NCAA. Centenary is presently in its first year of competition in the Mid-Continent Conference. The Ladies golf team hosts a collegiate tournament every March at the Shreveport County Club, with the fourth annual Ladies Spring Invitational coming on March 1-2, 2004.
