Elmhurst, Ill.—Centenary Ladies senior Alexis Pettway was named Mid-Con Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Pettway, a preseason second team All-Mid-Con pick, is the first Centenary basketball player to receive the honor.

For the week, Pettway averaged 19.3 ppg and 9.3 rpg in three games. The forward posted 26 points and 12 rebounds against Northwestern State for her second double-double of the season. She then recorded 15 points and eight boards at Louisiana-Monroe before collecting 17 points and eight rebounds against Louisiana-Lafayette, despite playing only one minute in the first half due to foul trouble.

Pettway (Rialto, Calif.) currently leads the Mid-Con in scoring at 17.2 ppg and ranks second in rebounds (8.0 rpg) and field goal percentage (.614). She is Centenary’s all-time scoring and rebounding leader with 1,166 points and 648 boards.
