Gymnastics Ladies Fall to Southern Utah

Cedar City, Utah—After opening their season with a win over Texas Woman's University, the Centenary Ladies gymnastics team fell to Southern Utah on Friday, 193.450 to 191.350. The loss brought the Ladies record to 1-1 on the season.

Centenary struggled slightly on the vault, posting a team score of 46.900. However, the Ladies powered past the Thunderbirds on the floor exercise for a season-high 48.925 team score.

Individually, Kristina Menne took home the all-around crown for the second consecutive meet. She recorded a 38.375 to easily defeat SUU's Carly Geronimo who earned a 37.875. Menne tied for second place on the uneven bars and on the beam, while earning sole possession of second place on the floor exercise. Sophomore All-American Sarah Racioppi won the floor exercise with a score of 9.875.

The Ladies will return to Shreveport for their first home meet on Friday, January 23rd when they host Winona State at 7 p.m.
