Gents Shooting Sizzles in Mid-Con Win Over Western Illinois

Macomb, Ill.—The Centenary Gents found themselves trailing by one at the half despite shooting 62.5 percent from the field in the opening period. However, spectacular three-point shooting led the Gents to a 75-72 win over Western Illinois on the road on Thursday.

Centenary (10-8, 4-3 Mid-Con) shot 47.8 percent from behind the three-point line for the contest, converting on 11-of-23 attempts. Jarmorrow Moragne led the way with five trifectas while Andrew Wisniewski added four of his own. The duo of Moragne and Wisniewski finished with 17 points and 30 points respectively.

Western Illinois (3-17, 1-7 Mid-Con) shot an impressive 50 percent from the field on the night but came up short in the end. J.D. Summers led the Leathernecks with 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field, including 3-of-7 from behind the three-point arc. Keith Archie finished with 16 points and Will Lewis added 14 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
